Job Description


As a Security Professional - Patrol Driver Tech in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout a dynamic tech and media location. Your role focuses on monitoring assigned areas, responding promptly to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to meet AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or entry.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity, reporting any concerns according to established procedures.
  • Support access control by observing entry and exit points, verifying credentials when needed, and maintaining a visible presence.
  • Document incidents and observations accurately in required logs and reports.
  • Communicate and cooperate with staff, visitors, and/or local law enforcement as directed by site protocols.
  • Remain alert to potential risks in a technology-driven environment and report hazards or maintenance issues as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
