As a Security Officer - Media Patrol Driver in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will play a key role in access control, interact with visitors and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises, including both the business interior and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities or incidents occurring in and around the location.
  • Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Offer assistance to employees and visitors as needed, addressing inquiries and providing general direction within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
