Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role is crucial in fostering a secure and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. By delivering exceptional customer service and communicating clearly, you will contribute to a positive environment that reflects Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents in accordance with site protocols.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with security-related concerns or directions within the healthcare location.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during incidents on site.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and all incidents encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or general education diploma, as required by the client.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
