As a Security Professional - Flex Aarmed in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will help to deter potential security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility. Your role includes interacting with staff, visitors, and patients to provide excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, offering assistance to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
  • Document and report any unusual incidents or conditions according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and first responders as needed during emergency and/or routine situations.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Training or certification in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
