As a Security Professional - Flex - Retail Center in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space, including the sales floor, storage areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Support the enforcement of location policies, including those related to loss prevention and customer conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with store staff and management to address security-related concerns and help to maintain a welcoming environment for customers and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
