Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Security Clearance Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at this government location, you will conduct routine patrols and be a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving and armed post puts you at the forefront of maintaining order and providing peace of mind for those in the area. You will engage with the public, respond to security-related situations, and deliver excellent customer service, all while working with a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and reporting any incidents as required.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identification and/or credentials as necessary, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when appropriate, following established protocols.
  • Remain visible and approachable to help to deter potential issues and provide support to individuals within the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An active Department of Defense Confidential Clearance is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
