As a Security Professional - Armed Telecom Patrol in Norristown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Observe for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security-related concerns and report such situations to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific procedures related to the technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
  • Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while on post.
  • Complete required reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
