Job Description


As a Security Officer - Resort Access Control in Marco Island, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling a prestigious hotel and resort location. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with guests and staff, providing outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in managing access points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies for the location.
  • Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and authorizing entry as appropriate for hotels and resorts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, hazards, or occurrences in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with crowd control and maintaining orderly conduct in public areas of the resort.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and management regarding security-related concerns, incidents, or potential issues.
  • Support Allied Universal in upholding client-specific expectations and service standards at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Having a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
