Job Description


As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Specialist Full-Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a distinguished education location, you will conduct thorough patrols throughout the premises to help deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the campus community as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior throughout the location.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and local law enforcement when required, following established protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance needs, and/or hazards encountered during patrols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
