Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol TWIC Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your visible presence will promote a secure environment while you interact with team members and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This driving post requires you to meet AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities, being mindful of the unique conditions present in chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Report any observed hazards, irregularities, or suspicious activities promptly to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required for personnel and visitors in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal procedures and client guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
