As a Security Guard - Chemical Plant Driver in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and proactive engagement will support a welcoming atmosphere, while your visible patrols help to prevent unwanted activity. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate vehicles as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a chemical or petrochemical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Help to deter incidents and respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, noting and reporting any security-related concerns or irregularities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or hazards within the location.
  • Assist with access control duties, verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Document and communicate incidents and daily activities to Allied Universal management and client representatives as required.
  • Support other Allied Universal staff and client employees by providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
