As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech/Media in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activities and identifying potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by providing information and directions as needed at the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local contacts to address security-related concerns specific to the tech, media, or telecom environment.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow instructions from Allied Universal management and site leadership, adapting to changes in procedures or site conditions as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
