Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and patients. Your primary responsibilities include greeting guests, verifying credentials, providing information, and assisting with access control to help maintain a secure and welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control for staff, visitors, and vendors within a healthcare facility.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating appropriate emergency response activities when needed.
  • Monitor visitor logs and verify identification to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to assist with inquiries and to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and guests, providing information and directions as needed while upholding security-related protocols set by the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual observations to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership, following established communication procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
