As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Georgetown, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in an access control role at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong and visible presence. You will be responsible for verifying credentials, controlling badge access, and assisting visitors, all while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following prescribed procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal management and appropriate site personnel.
• Maintain awareness of the unique requirements of a food and beverage environment, supporting compliance with industry-specific standards and practices.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
