Job Description


As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol chemical and petrochemical locations, supporting a secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and building positive interactions, reflecting our commitment to putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client representatives to address security-related concerns specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely logs, incident reports, and other documentation as required by the site-specific policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
