Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Chemical Plant in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a chemical or petrochemical location. Your visible presence and regular patrols will contribute to a secure environment while you engage with individuals on site, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position requires driving responsibilities as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any concerns or irregularities according to site guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of potential environmental risks associated with the chemical and petrochemical industry and respond according to training and site-specific procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
