Job Description


As a Security Officer - Government Building Patrol in Everett, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a secure atmosphere, while your strong communication and customer service skills create positive interactions. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols within the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to company protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or the general public by giving directions and addressing inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all security-related observations, incidents, and activities.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
