Job Description


As a Security Officer - Resort Entry Control in Vinton, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic hotel and casino location, you will monitor entrances, manage access points, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, interacting professionally with guests and staff, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of guests, visitors, and staff at various points within the hotel, casino, and racetrack locations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and address any concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment for guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with hotel and casino personnel to address security-related issues and provide support during emergency response activities.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accurate and timely reports as required by Allied Universal and site standards.
  • Remain visible and approachable to guests, providing directions and assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
