Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Post - Driving Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide an exceptional customer experience within a dynamic commercial real estate location. In this role, you will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents as needed. This is an armed and driving position, requiring both a valid driver's license and an armed guard card. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures according to site-specific policies and emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior, taking into account the unique needs of a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor for security-related risks and report any observations or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control measures by verifying identification and/or credentials, and assisting with visitor management as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Complete thorough and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as part of documentation requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
