Job Description


As a Security Officer – Plant Patrol Driver in Brookwood, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment. This position involves driving responsibilities, so a valid driver's license is required. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the industrial location to help to identify and report any unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any hazards or maintenance issues encountered during patrols within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with employees, visitors, and contractors while maintaining security-related protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or any suspicious observations.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management to help to maintain order and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is a preference.
  • Primarily driving post is a preference.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
