As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Healthcare Facility in Woodbridge, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to those on site by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Follow post orders and client instructions regarding access control, visitor management, and the handling of confidential information in a healthcare environment.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as situations arise.
  • Maintain awareness of any unusual activity, hazards, and/or situations that may arise and report them according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or traffic management in and around the healthcare facility as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
