Job Description


As a Security Professional - Healthcare Facility Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer within a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a caring environment. Your visible presence and regular patrols contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all staff, visitors, and patients. This position requires driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities or violations of policy.
  • Monitor and observe the surroundings for any unusual or suspicious activities, and report findings in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients while on patrol or during incident response.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by site and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as mandated by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
