Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with visitors and staff to provide excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for mobile patrols within the location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with other personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related breaches.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while maintaining a strong Allied Universal presence at the location.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management in accordance with site-specific requirements for an aerospace and defense location.
  • Participate in routine drills and/or security-related exercises to maintain readiness for emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
