As a Armed Security Officer - Admin Building in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible throughout the premises. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to have the necessary certifications and a valid driver's license. You will be the face of Allied Universal, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate escalation protocols when necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe for unusual situations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to assist with loss prevention and to help to deter theft or other disruptive behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and offer assistance to patrons and staff as needed.
  • Report and document all security-related incidents, hazards, and concerns in accordance with company and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following site-specific protocols.
  • Operate and carry a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policy and all applicable laws, maintaining a high degree of professionalism and discretion at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
