Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver Retail in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols throughout a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related situations as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct within the retail environment.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with questions and directions as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders as required during incidents.
  • Adhere to all company and site-specific policies and procedures while performing duties as an armed patrol professional.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
