As a Security Professional - Part Time Screener in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to foster a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Screen individuals entering the location by following established protocols, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Monitor entry points and observe visitor behavior to identify and report any suspicious activity to Allied Universal and client representatives.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with patients, visitors, and/or staff to provide assistance and enforce guidelines as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and/or screening activities as required by site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
