As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control in Deland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a dedicated professional responsible for access control and security-related operations at a government location. In this role, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with site-specific procedures and information related to access control.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for the protection of people and property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and logbooks as required by the location's protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and onsite personnel to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
