Job Description


As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Access Control in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer, where you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment for a leading technology, media, and telecommunications location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, managing visitor access, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized individuals.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries regarding access procedures and location-specific policies.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with property management and local authorities when necessary.
  • Enforce site-specific policies and procedures to support a secure working environment for employees and visitors.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related issues and hazards relevant to the technology-focused environment, reporting any concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
