As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol TWIC in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for personnel and assets. Your presence and routine patrols support a positive atmosphere, while your exceptional communication skills and customer service help to build strong relationships on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and to report any suspicious activity observed during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with site staff and visitors to address questions, provide assistance, and relay important information as needed.
• Prepare detailed and accurate written reports of all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
• Follow all company policies and procedures as well as any site-specific directives related to security-related operations in a manufacturing and industrial setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
