As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control Flex in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related irregularities according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise in a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Follow site-specific procedures for security-related incidents and access control, adapting to the unique requirements of the chemical and petrochemical location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
