Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hotel Unarmed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for guests and staff. By remaining visible throughout the property, you help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. Your role also involves clear communication and prompt response to any situations that may arise, all while upholding our company's values of reliability, agility, teamwork, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the hotel and resort environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the orderly operation of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter, both inside and outside, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas of the property to help to deter disorderly conduct and assist guests or staff as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and the enforcement of property rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with hotel and resort staff to provide a welcoming and secure environment for all guests and personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
