What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting observations as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, Allied Universal team members, and emergency response personnel as situations arise.
  • Provide excellent customer service to those at the location, addressing questions or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
