As a Security Guard - Residential Perimeter Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at this residential location, you will monitor premises and conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents while remaining approachable for residents and visitors. Your presence and excellent communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment, as you respond to incidents and provide assistance as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around residential buildings and their perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.
• Communicate and collaborate with property management and Allied Universal personnel to relay information about incidents, maintenance issues, or security-related needs.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities clearly and accurately in daily reports or logs as required by site protocol.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
