As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Bluffton, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and proactive engagement. You will interact with customers and staff, delivering exceptional service and clear communication to create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with resolution as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to observe for suspicious activity and help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to support a secure environment for staff, guests, and property.
• Report and document any incidents, hazards, or unusual situations encountered during patrols or while on duty.
• Collaborate with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and maintain open communication.
• Remain visible and approachable to assist customers with directions or general inquiries, supporting a positive experience at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
