As a Security Officer - Flex Logistics Patrol in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report any security-related issues or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location as required by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities during each shift.
  • Collaborate with fellow Allied Universal personnel and/or site staff to support a security-related presence throughout the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
