Job Description


As a Security Professional - Full-Time Patrol Tech Sector in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols and communicate with clients and team members, all while embodying our values of integrity, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following all security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter, including both interior and exterior areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of the location and promptly report any suspicious persons, objects, or activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations or other critical operations according to site guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to address security-related needs specific to a technology and media environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A current guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
