Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed posts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related concerns and report findings according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and client personnel when appropriate to address security-related matters.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in compliance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or hold a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
