Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Property Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and a people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any unusual circumstances.
  • Carry and maintain control of authorized firearms and security equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, supporting security-related operations at the commercial real estate location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and to provide reassurance for tenants, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
