As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be required to operate a vehicle while performing your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those that may require the use of armed intervention in accordance with Allied Universal's guidelines and training.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter, both on foot and/or by vehicle, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within a commercial real estate location to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports documenting observations, incidents, and/or actions taken while on duty.
  • Collaborate with property management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures regarding the use of firearms, protective equipment, and security-related technology.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
