As a Security Officer INMATE TRANSPORT OFFICERS 

 in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government location, where you will conduct regular patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves both armed responsibilities and driving, providing an engaging environment to utilize your training and experience. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and be a key presence in maintaining a secure atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government facility and perimeter, maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting any unusual activity.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior within the location.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed regarding incidents or security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Remain alert and observant while interacting with the public and staff, contributing to a secure environment at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
