Job Description


As a Security Officer  - Armed Healthcare Patrol - Full Time in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Your presence and attention to detail will make a positive impact, while your strong communication and customer service skills will help foster trust throughout the location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or protocols, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter any unauthorized activity or incidents.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report any security-related issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and/or patients as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal's mission by upholding professionalism and compliance with all training and licensing requirements for an armed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
