Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Temperanceville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer within a dynamic food and beverage production environment. You will monitor entrances, manage badge access, respond to alarm panels, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visibility and commitment to excellent customer service will contribute to a welcoming and secure atmosphere for employees and visitors alike. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and suspicious activity.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow protocols for managing deliveries, visitors, and employee access according to client site requirements.
  • Assist with security-related incident documentation and communicate with Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
