As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver - Mall in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at this retail location, you will conduct regular patrols to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to stay alert and responsive while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will serve as a visible presence, ready to respond to incidents and assist individuals as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor activity within the retail environment, noting any potential security-related concerns or violations of store policy.
  • Assist with access control measures as required, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and/or employees regarding security-related matters and procedures.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed written reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
