As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol CRE PT in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling commercial real estate locations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Carry and maintain proper control of authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements, adhering to all applicable laws and policies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift, maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with clients, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and promptly address any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain required certifications and stay updated on security-related procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
