As a Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol Driver in Mount Laurel, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence throughout retail and mall locations. Your proactive approach will help to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service to guests, tenants, and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail or mall location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Support a welcoming environment for visitors, employees, and/or tenants by being visible and approachable during patrols.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols.
• Assist in access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and/or local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
