As a Security Officer - Campus Bike Patrol PT in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will conduct routine bike patrols across campus grounds, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, working collaboratively with campus personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, property damage, or suspicious behavior, according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including checking identification and verifying authorization for entry to restricted areas as required.
  • Support campus events by providing a visible security-related presence and assisting with crowd management or directions as needed.
  • Document and communicate incidents, maintenance issues, or hazards to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
