Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Government Site in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by actively monitoring and patrolling a dynamic government location. You will remain highly visible to provide peace of mind and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and a caring, people-first approach. This position requires driving as part of your regular duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with access control by verifying the credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance to visitors and staff as needed.
  • Follow all company and site-specific protocols for emergency response and evacuation procedures.
  • Adapt to changing environments and conditions that may vary at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
