As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Control Driver in Waukegan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control duties at the location.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors enter restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols for healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to support a secure environment and identify any irregularities or suspicious activity.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as per site requirements.
• Assist visitors, employees, and patients with access-related inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
• Collaborate with on-site staff and emergency responders during incidents to support a coordinated response.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
