Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling government locations while carrying out security-related duties. This position is both armed and driving, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed response.
  • Engage with visitors, personnel, and others on-site in a professional manner, providing customer service while upholding site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Observe and report suspicious behaviors or activities, documenting incidents in accordance with Allied Universal's and client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during emergencies or security-related incidents.
  • Participate in regular briefings and training sessions to remain current on site procedures, emergency response protocols, and use of force guidelines.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, checking credentials, and monitoring entry and exit points as required by the location's policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
