Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Residential Patrol Driver in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a residential location. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain highly visible to promote a secure environment, provide excellent customer service, and communicate professionally with residents and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential property and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and observe for any suspicious behavior or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location to support the security-related protocols established for the community.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency services during incidents as directed by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, or requests for assistance within the residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A minimum of six months of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
